Christmas Activities and End of Term Arrangements
As we near the end of what has been a very challenging term we would like to give our students and staff some festive opportunities to enter into the spirit of the season. Please find below details of what will be happening for each year group:
Friday 11 December - Christmas Jumper Day
This is open to the whole school for a suggested donation of £2 (to be collected on the gate) for Save the Children. Please note: Christmas jumpers must be worn with school uniform/PE kit as appropriate, including blazers and school shoes. Trainers will not be permitted unless your child has PE.
Monday 14 December - KS3 Christmas Markets
All tutor groups in Years 7, 8 and 9 will be allowed to run a stall in an outdoor (weather permitting) Christmas Market at break time. Money raised will be donated to Shelter.
Tuesday 15 December - Year 8 and Year 11 Christmas lunches
Christmas lunch will be available for Years 8 and 11 to buy in the canteen, by pre-order only for a cost of £2.60. Students who are entitled to free school meals will not be charged but must still pre-order as usual.
At lunchtime Year 10 will not have access to the canteen and will remain in their zone corridor/outside area at lunchtime. Canteen food, if required, must be pre-ordered and will be delivered to their zone.
Wednesday 16 December - Year 7 Christmas lunch
Christmas lunch will be available for Year 7 to buy in the canteen , by pre-order only for a cost of £2.60. Students who are entitled to free school meals will not be charged but must still pre-order as usual.
At lunchtime Year 9 will not have access to the canteen and will remain in their zone corridor/outside area at lunchtime. Canteen food, if required, must be pre-ordered and will be delivered to their zone.
Thursday 17th December - Year 9 and Year 10 Christmas lunches
Christmas lunch will be available for Years 9 and 10 to buy in the canteen, by pre-order only for a cost of £2.60. Students who are entitled to free school meals will not be charged but must still pre-order as usual.
Friday 18th December - End of Term
The morning, including Periods 1-3 will follow the normal timetable. Students will be dismissed between 12.25-12.40 (Years 7, 8 and 11 at 12.25, Years 9, 10 and 6th form at 12.40) via their usual gates. Students who are entitled to Free School Meals will be given a packed lunch at morning break time.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Christmas lunches must be pre-ordered by Wednesday 9 December to enable our catering team to order and prepare.
