Y6 Open Events 2025 / 2026 - Booking Now Available

It is with great pleasure and excitement that we invite you and your child to our trilogy of Year 6 Open Events at Welling School for the academic year of 2025 / 2026. Welling School is currently oversubscribed, reflecting the strong demand and trust from families in our outstanding educational environment. These events are a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to explore our school, meet our dedicated staff, and discover the fantastic educational opportunities that we can offer your child.

First up, we have our Year 6 Open Evening which is on Thursday, 11th September 2025. The evening will start at 4pm and we will draw to a close at 7pm. To book your place at this exciting event, please complete the form below :

Next, we have our Year 6 Grammar and Express Taster Event which is on Saturday, 27th September 2025. We welcome both you and your child for a light morning breakfast at 9:30am where you can hear more about our diverse range of subjects, extracurricular activities and our bespoke pathways which now include a grammar and express stream. At 10:00am, your child will then be taken to a classroom where they will participate in two taster lessons that will each last for 45 minutes. During this time, you are free to leave your child under our care and guidance. Alternatively, you can stay and join one of taster sessions where you can also participate in a grammar style lesson aimed at parents and carers. To book your place at this exciting event, please complete the form below :

Finally, back by popular demand, we have our fabulous celebration of the Arts evening which is on Wednesday, 1st October 2025. The evening will start at 4pm and we will draw to a close at 6pm. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to see first hand the creative opportunities that we can offer your child and to celebrate the work that our wonderful students have produced. During the evening, you and your child will have the chance to: 

 - Enjoy a live performance: Enjoy a live performance from our Performing Arts students with a medley of songs from their previous productions which include Cinderella, Matilda, Grease and The Little Shop of Horrors. 

 - Tour our Creative and Performing Arts facilities: Explore our dedicated, on site Art gallery and talk to existing students about the art work that is on display.  

 - Meet our experienced Creative and Performing Arts teachers: Engage in conversations with our specialist teachers who are committed to providing a nurturing, safe and stimulating learning environment. To book your place at this exciting event, please complete the form below :

We will also be running our popular open morning tours. These will start on Monday 15th September  and will run Monday to Friday, between 9:00am to 10:30am until Friday 26th September. This is a really good opporunity for you and your child to see first hand the high quality teaching and student experience that is had at Welling School.
