Welling United FC Scholarship Programme

We are delighted to share with parent/carers a new partnership for the school which we hope will benefit girls with an interest in football and we look forward to this partnership growing over the coming years. Welling United will partner with Welling School, in offering a bespoke Post-16 football and education programme for girls.

Welling United’s programme places players at the heart of the programme with the aim to develop and grow future players in an environment that is challenging, developmental and inspirational.  Their holistic approach to learning develops academic, coaching, football and social education. Their unique training programme with UEFA qualified coaches (including ex professional players), is supported by matches in the National Football Youth League.  During the course, students will receive an extensive Adidas kit package, VEO & Playermaker analysis.

Following the completion of the programme, Welling United and Welling School will support students in the next stage of their career, with various pathway opportunities:

  • University in the UK
  • USA Scholarships
  • GYM & Fitness Instructor
  • Football Contract (Pro & Semi-Pro)
  • Football Coaching
  • Various other roles within the sports & leisure industry.

At Welling School, students will be able to study a range of A Level and Vocational Courses. The school also runs a number of Level 2 courses to support students that need to retake their English and/or Maths GCSE.
