KS4 Return to Practical PE Lessons

Year 10 and 11 will be resuming their practical PE lessons the week beginning Monday 14 September. Physical activity is an essential component of health and wellbeing therefore resuming physical activity is a priority.

In line with government guidance, students will not be using the PE changing rooms. Instead, students need to attend school in their PE kit on the day they have PE. Students will also need to wear their school blazer.

The expectation is that students must wear the school PE kit which consists of the following:

  • Plain dark tracksuit bottoms/shorts
  • A red, black or white plain V Neck top – no big logos
  • Trainers
  • School Blazer
  • Dark outdoor Coat (weather dependent)

The following items will not be allowed and will risk being confiscated if worn in school:

  • NO hoodies
  • NO vest tops/crop tops
  • NO football shirts

If the above are worn in school your son/daughter will be removed from the lesson and parents/carers contacted to bring the correct kit or uniform. These are unprecedented times and on the days a student has PE their PE kit will serve as their school uniform. Uniform expectation on the days your son/daughter has PE will be the same as any other day.

Students will also need to bring their school bag and equipment to school. A C1 consequence will be given for those who do not follow the kit policy. Three C1s in a half term will result in a C2 consequence and parent/carers contacted.

Please contact Mr Brown, Head of PE or a member of your child's year team if you have any questions about PE kit.

Kind regards,

Mr Brown
