School Closure

Following the recent announcement from the Government on Wednesday 30th December, Welling School will be closed to all students except from the children of keyworkers and vulnerable students from Tuesday 05 January 2021 due to increasing cases of COVID-19. 

If your child falls under the keyworker or vulnerable student group, please complete this form so we can allocate your child a place in school from Tuesday 05 January.

Year 12 & 13 Examinations

Year 12 & Year 13 students who have BTEC Exams during this closure will be invited into school to complete masterclasses - Please click HERE for more information.

Staggered Return to School

From Monday 11 January, we will be welcoming back Year 11, Year 12 & Year 13 for Face to Face lessons alongside the keyworker and vulnerable students. All other students will continue to receive lessons remotely via Google Classroom. 

All students working from home will have work set for them daily on Google Classroom from Tuesday 5 January.

From Monday 18 January, we expect all students to return to school to receive Face to Face lessons. *

* Please note that Bexley has been identified as an area where infection rates are high and the Department for Education contingency framework applies. Therefore, there may be further changes as to when the school can reopen.

Google Mail accounts

All students from Year 7 - Year 13 have been set up with a School Google Mail account to work remotely whilst the school is closed. Students can access their emails at https://mail.google.com/.

If your child has difficulty in accessing their emails, please send an email to google@wellingschool-tkat.org, providing the student name, Form Group and their school email address.

What action you can take?

A UK wide campaign has been launched to provide clear advice on how to slow the spread of Coronavirus.

Please help to support the campaign which promotes basic hygiene practices, such as regularly washing hands and always sneezing into a tissue, to stem the spread of viruses.

The government is closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus and is taking action at home and abroad.

Public Health England and the Foreign Office have issued advice for anyone travelling abroad, including necessary 14 day isolation upon returning from some countries. This can be found at:
