Attendance Update on Self Isolating Students

Attendance Update: Self-Isolation
We have received a number of parent enquiries today regarding self-isolation in advance of the Christmas break and so I thought it would be useful to communicate the school’s position to all parent/carers. Welling School remains fully open and we continue to implement Covid safety measures to ensure the safety of all our students and their families.
We do, however, recognise that for some of you the level of concern is rising both as a result of press reports around case numbers and Greenwich schools moving to online learning and also of your own situation - for example living with vulnerable relatives and/or anticipating seeing them over the Christmas break. For some families this means that very difficult decisions are being made regarding whether or not to send students to school or for them to self-isolate and we are sympathetic to the quandary you are facing. Students who are absent this week due to self-isolation will not be penalised and their attendance will be recorded with the appropriate code. Work can be accessed via the school study hub.
Please continue to notify us if your child is going to be absent, preferably by email at attendance@wellingschool-tkat.org or by calling 07592 025352 or texting on the MyEd app.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.
Yours faithfully
Mrs L Otti
