Thursday 5 May - Election Day - School Closure

On Thursday 5 May Welling School will be a polling station for the local elections, consequently students will be educated remotely.

Students will access work linked to the current school curriculum via google classroom, the same way they accessed learning during lockdown. Students will follow their normal timetable and each 60 minute lesson will have a live element of at least 30 minutes for Years 10-13 and 15 minutes for Years 7-9. However, if your child has a double lesson their teacher will be live for the first and last 30 minutes of the lesson.

Each teacher will set an assigned piece of work that will be submitted by the end of the lesson. After the live element students will be able to contact the teacher via email or google classroom to ask any questions they might have about the lesson.

Ms Osei-Tutu and Ms McNeillie will be conducting speaking exams for identified Year 11 students, therefore it will not be possible for their lessons to be live and work will be uploaded to their google classrooms for completion.

If your child is having difficulties accessing their google classrooms, please email: google@wellingschool-tkat.org

Quick reminder:

  • Log into each google classroom following your timetabled subjects and start times of lessons.
  • Complete the assigned work for the lesson.
  • Submit your work at the end of the timetabled lesson

Any students without an electronic device should contact the school via office@wellingschool-tkat.org
