Home Learning plan in the event of school closure/self isolation
Thank you for your continued support in this extraordinary time. We expect students will continue to attend school as much as possible, however we need to ensure we have appropriate contingency plans in place for Coronavirus related absences...
In order to ensure we are compliant with the government safeguarding regulations, we require all parents or carers to provide us up-to-date contact information. Please complete this form to help us update our systems. We will be using email as our first channel of communication with you, therefore it is essential that this information is correct so that we can keep you informed at short notice.
If your son/daughter is self isolating, we still expect them to be working at home; as long as they are symptom free and well enough to do so. Work is provided on the Welling Home Study Hub (https://sites.google.com/wellingschool-tkat.org/welling-homestudy). You may also wish to make use of The Oak National Academy resources which provide teacher recorded videos and activities (https://www.thenational.academy). Students should select the subject they should be studying as per their normal timetable and complete work for that lesson.
In the event of a wider shutdown, perhaps a year group or specific classes, students will be set classwork from their teacher via Google Classroom in line with their timetable. Teachers will upload the work ready for them to start at normal lesson times.

If you have any issues with online learning, please contact enquiries@wellingschool-tkat.org and your enquiry will be forwarded to the correct member of staff to action.
Yours faithfully,
Mr C Gibbons - Director of Learning
